Your Place of Peace Found Through Land Stewardship

Shamballah also known as Shambhala or Shambhalla, is an ancient mythical Tibetan land of peace, wisdom, and enlightenment. The name itself comes from Sanskrit and means ‘place of peace’—a true heaven on earth.

Shamballah represents the possibility of humanity living in true harmony with the natural world. This is why Shamballah Home & Gardens is dedicated to blending principles of science and spirituality as they guide homeowners and businesses in land stewardship. Learn more about how Dr. Jane discovered Shamballah and how it shaped Shamballah Home & Gardens.

Discovering Shamballah Through Spiritual Study

I first experienced the idea of Shamballah in my spiritual studies. At its heart, Shamballah is what happens when we choose to align our lives with universal principles like goodness, harmony, and truth. Shamballah isn’t a place we find but rather something that we can create together.

What the Shamballah of Shamballah Home and Gardens means to Us

For us, Shamballah is a vision of a world where love, harmony, peace, unity, health, beauty, and joy are at the center of everything we do. It is about embracing stewardship of ourselves, each other, and the land.

Most people think of landscaping as just lawn mowers and leaf blowers, but for us, it is so much more. Our work is deeply spiritual. We are not simply planting gardens. We are creating sacred spaces that uplift the energy of a space and invite true stewardship as a living expression of our highest selves.

Beginning with our name, we wanted to capture the true essence of Eden, which was a garden, but without the dogmatic connotations.

We don’t have to live in the type of world we live in today, one of conflict, division, anger, violence, and exploitation. Those are all choices. The systems we live in are human-made, and at any moment we could choose to make something else, something wonderful and beautiful. I created Shamballah Home and Gardens to offer people a different choice, a way to create a little slice of heaven on earth.

Shamballah is the Mission

Shamballah isn’t just our name, it is our mission! World peace. Harmony between humans and nature.  Helping people to live from the paradigm of stewardship–this is how we create Shamballah, one space at a time.

How Shamballah Shapes Our Design Philosophy and Land Stewardship

Shamballah is the vision we are working toward, one sanctuary at a time. By creating spaces where people can experience harmony, joy, and peace, we lay the foundation for a new way of living. Our homes need to be a haven, where we can go to center, recharge, and connect to a higher purpose. Over time, this desire for harmony will shape our homes, but also our shared public and commercial spaces, and carry this same energy, creating larger networks where the space supports inner and outer harmony.

Land Stewardship

Stewardship matters on a spiritual and practical level.

Practically speaking, we are biological creatures, and we require a healthy planet. Full stop. One thing we see repeatedly in evolutionary history is that the species that survive the longest and thrive the most are those that contribute to the overall system’s health. So, even if we approach it purely selfishly, land stewardship is really a necessity for survival.

Beyond that, stewardship is an expression of our true nature, our inner light. Tending to creation fulfills us spiritually, just as much as destroying it harms us. Many of the problems we suffer from today, labeled as “mental” or “emotional” problems, stem from the disconnection of our true selves, one another, and the natural world.

We were never meant to live in separation. Stewardship is a road back to universal unity.

How We Want Our Clients to Feel

If a client knew nothing about us except our name, I hope they would immediately understand that we are offering something different from “the other guys,” which would ignite their curiosity.

I hope our clients feel inspired and hopeful. A better world is possible, and they can take an active role in creating it.

We are here to help create Shamballah, one garden at a time!
